This time of the year dandelions grow everywhere. Some people don’t like them, but I absolutely love them out on the fields. The yellow makes me very happy :). I’m also happy that I can gather the dandelion flowers to make my own dandelion infused oil to use in homemade recipes. Below is what I gathered earlier today form a land we own, where I know no chemicals are used 😉
I’m letting it dry up a bit, so that the water evaporates, before making my oil. Once I have my oil, I’ll be making some of these dandelions lotion bars for everyone in the family.
So, let’s see what you need to make dandelion lotion bars.
Dandelion Lotion Bars
- 1 part beeswax
- 1 part shea butter (or mango butter)
- 1 part dandelion infused oil
The recipe doesn’t call for any essential oils, but you can always add your favorite. I would add either of the following for their soothing skin properties: lavender, frankincense, geranium or tea tree. For more details and pictures check out the original post on the NerdyFarmWife.com site.
