Homemade Dryer Sheets With Tea Tree Oil

Making your own dryer sheets is a great way to keep your family away from the chemicals used in the commercial alternative.  With so many allergies these days, the more you can stay away form synthetic ingredients, the better.  To make this recipe you only need 2 ingredients, some cotton cloth and a glass container.

  1. O….m….g….thank you for this idea! I keep forgetting to look up recommendations for home made dryer sheets! LOVE THIS!

  2. Jennifer, it depends on what you use: some cloths are thicker, while others are thinner, and it also depends on how big your pieces are. Just add as many as the liquid will soak.

  3. Gayle, the ones you see in the image were from the dollar store. you can use any cotton material: old tee-shirts, old pajamas or bed sheets, or, just buy something new: just make sure they are 100% cotton

  4. I use white vinegar in the washing machine, but it does not control static. I am just curious the difference of using it in the dryer. Also have any of you experienced oily stains on your clothes from the essential oils? Have not tried this yet, but hoping to soon.
